We discovered this Hollywood poster portrait in a closed shop window at the fabled ghost town of Ravenswood (Queensland) in 1978.  It was once a gold mining town.

Esther Williams was a major movie star that featured in synchronized swim movies of the 1940s and 1950s.

  1. Photo opportunity for the tabloid media of the era. (Feeding the starving photo-journalists cause, otherwise you would not have seen the picture). Is a bad subject picture better than none at all? Study all the wildlife documentaries of the past for that answer. Most have fabrications within the production. Don’t believe everything you see as being real. There is a blurred line between entertainment and education. The evening TV news also fits into this category.
